BC Hydro ROC

The ROC supports the delivery of BC Hydro’s Distribution Overhead and Underground work, including trouble response, maintenance, system improvement, and customer-driven work programs. Allteck is responsible for delivering work in the regions of Terrace, Smithers, Prince George, Williams Lake, and Victoria, British Columbia, which includes maintenance and system improvement work, transformer upgrades, installation, removal, and repair of overhead and underground distribution facilities, replacement of metering kits, street lights, and livefront kiosk, as well as customer work (extensions/improvements).

• Use of Allteck’s Robotic Arm, rated for side load, which makes angle structure replacements safer and more efficient. The robotic arm can telescope and rotate energized phases, enabling a larger and safer pole setting window, increasing crew safety during construction. It is also remotely operated, increasing efficiency and versatility.
