Site C Transmission Line

As part of BC Hydro’s Site C Clean Energy Transmission Line Project, Allteck Line Contractors Inc. (Allteck) was selected to build two new 500kV transmission lines that connect the Site C project and the Peace Canyon generating station. This contract involves the construction of more than 400 towers across 75 km in B.C.’s Peace River Regional District. In addition, Allteck will be modifying the existing 138 kV transmission system to supply Fort St. John substation and Taylor substation from the new Site C substation. Site C will provide enough clean hydroelectric energy to power the equivalent of about 450,000 homes per year in British Columbia for over a century!
