60kV Transmission Line Relocation – Hwy 97 Williams Lake

This project consisted on the relocation of several single circuit and double circuit 60kV single pole structures on circuits 60L308 and 60L30 to accommodate the widening of Highway 97, from Carson Road to Fox Mountain Road in Williams Lake.

 The Challenges

• Culverts reached up to 8m of depth which required close monitoring of civil work.
• Outages on circuit 60L309 were not available, which required work to be done under energized conditions.

Specialized Work Methods

• Live Line methods and multiple Robotic Arms were used.
