Allteck is proud to sponsor the 2018 Heavy Metal Rocks Program in Williams Lake, BC.
Every year, Allteck provides a PLT and Bucket truck to participate in the annual event. The students learn tools of the trade, take a ride up in the bucket, and work on a one span of unconnected power line.
The project provides opportunities for 26 students to explore the wide variety of rewarding career choices as heavy duty equipment operators in the construction/resources industries. Students will learn the importance of safety training and will receive mentoring from equipment operators as they learn to operate several different types of equipment in a controlled environment. In addition to operating Heavy Duty equipment, students could receive training in the following areas:
- WorkSafe – New Worker/Young Worker
- Construction Safety – Certificate
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 – Certificate
- WHMIS training – Basic – Certificate
