A couple of months ago Allteck sent a team made up of 3 linemen, 1 apprentice and a couple of chaperones to a Lineman rodeo in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. “It’s important to support and grow this industry.” Says Ryan Lucas, VP of Resources and Marketing for Allteck.

Fact is the this trade has diminishing numbers, our resources are decreasing every day. It’s becoming harder and harder to acquire and maintain skilled tradesmen.

Supporting events like the Whiskey City rodeo are small ways that we can participate in order to progress our trade. Events like this just don’t happen in any other trade. This in an opportunity for Linemen to get together and compete against each other. It’s so much more than that though. We not only compete against each other but we do it in the name of safety and in support of the industry we love so much.

It takes a special breed of human to do what we do and we love to show it off. Lawrenceburg Municipal Utility lead by Olin Clawson is really making a difference in the progression of our trade. We have similar values and I highly recommend participating in this growing rodeo.

Make a change and participate in the movement. I encourage you to support your local utility and local contractors.
